BMW G Series iDrive 8 & iDrive 9 Instrument Cluster / Navigation Screen Protection Film Kit

I only had the car a week (2025 BMW M5 G99 Touring) and the fingerprints were driving me mad!! Got the matt version of the screen protection and it was easy to install, and it wonderful to use - no glare, no fingerprints, and touch works perfectly! Highly recommended.

We installed the gloss rather than matte ppf for the instrument cluster. It was a risk and turned out that glare is not an issue. Precise fit and can’t even tell it is there. No more smudges nor fingerprints Was super easy to install. Highly recommend.

Great bit of kit and the Matte looks so much better than the factory finish, plus no more finger prints! I would highly recommend to do the install with 2 pairs of hands, to make rolling the film off the paper and lining it up on the screen much easier, and to also have lots of slip solution ready. Will be buying again for any other cars for sure.

The slip solution was not nearly enough to continually and liberally apply which would be absolutely necessary for this job. Due to the lack of solution given the ppf quickly began to dry and the glue began to set. Because areas began to set while adjusting the position the ppf began to stretch and made a very uneven appearance. While using the plastic blade to push out solution the matte ppf scratched easily.

Not easy to apply and need to be given more slip solution especially when paying extra for it. I also recommend having a helping hand unless you do this for a living.

Update:

I should have reached out to the IPPS team ahead of time. Alex quickly reached out to me after this review and gave me some tips to get the PPF properly installed while also offering to replace my mistake free of charge. Very rarely do you get this level of customer service this quickly.

I would highly recommend Alex and his team at IPPS to anyone looking for PPF solutions!

Couldn't recommend this highly enough. I had a number of questions for the IPPS Team and they were very accommodating, answering all my questions. I was reluctant to install, but found it so easy and I absolutely love the look and feel of the screen now it's so much better (I went for matte). Everyone needs this.

Great kit and service from IPPS as always. Every G Series owner needs this on their screen. No more fingerprints!!!!

I absolutely love this product. The matte finish finishes off the interior and to be honest is how BMW should have delivered it from factory. Great fitment, looks very OEM and will stop my screen getting damaged. I can also now see the display far easier, rather than looking at my own reflection
